Quantum Spark was founded in 2025 by Rich Lansdowne, a visionary with more than a decade in the Internet of Things (IoT) and sensor-to-cloud solutions plus over two decades of experience in designing mobile phones and network infrastructure.

Quantum Spark is built on a foundation of deep technical expertise and a clear understanding of real-world challenges. Rich's background spans a broad spectrum of technical topics, from radio and system-on-chip to cloud services, and he is a recognized expert in LoRa and LoRaWAN technologies.

Rich's philosophy is simple: organizations need to be guided through this complexity, focusing on simple, outcome-driven terms. This begins with asking the right questions and extends to understanding the answers in enough depth to drive informed, business-critical decisions that propel their programs forward. Rich leverages more than 15 years holding a P&L in a NASDAQ company to craft board level clarity enabling enlightened decisions to be made with confidence.

We recognize that while the opportunities presented by IoT and AI are immense, breaking down programs into manageable, meaningful chunks can be incredibly difficult. AI, needs data – lots of it. This necessitates the deployment of various sensors, from simple temperature and humidity monitors to advanced people counters and fall detectors, to "feed the machine." It is incredible what insights can be created once AI has access to a few simple sensors deployed in the field. We need to make it simple to unlock its full potential!
